What is Chiropractic?A process of analyzing the spine for subluxations. Subluxations are areas of the spine that move out of alignment or are in a fixed position thus lacking movement. When this occurs the nerves that extend out of this segment cannot function optimally - leading to dysfunction in the areas that these nerves control.
For example: the lumbar nerves extend to innervate the digestive track. When subluxations are present, the patient can experience diarrhea or constipation from poor communication between the lumbar spine and gut.
What ages do you treat? It is never too early to have your child’s spine checked by a pediatric chiropractor. During the first appointment a thorough and age specific exam is performed. If contraindicates to care are detected, treatment will be delayed until after further investigation determines care is warranted.
